How to Get Florence

Travelling to Florence is no problem thanks to a modern and efficient transportation. Motorways, railways and a local international airport link the city to the rest of the world. This is yet another reason to choose Florence.

By car:

By train:
Florence is a principal railway hub and from its main train station, Santa Maria Novella, you can catch a train in any direction. This is a good option for getting to Florence from other cities and from abroad.

By plane:
Florence airport, Amerigo Vespucci (FLR), is located about 5 km north-west from the city’s center. It can be reached by taxi or shuttle buses connecting it to all major Italian airports and some European ones.
Pisa international airport, Galileo Galilei (PSA), is the most important one in Tuscany with flights to and from all the major Italian and European destinations. A train station is located at the airport which transports passengers to the main station from which Florence and its airport can be reached.
